South Central Area Home Page
Welcome to the Concours Owners Group South Central Area web pages. Encompassing Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas, the South Central Area is home to some of the best roads and riding areas in the country. If you live in this area, plan to visit, or are simply curious about what these great states have to offer, this is the place where you can find a wealth of information regarding the roads, riding, people, and COG activities in the SC Area. We have a strong group of COG Directors here, and you can meet them and learn a bit about them on the Leadership Team page. There are several get-togethers and rides that have become tradition and are part of SC Area lore - schedules and information are available on the Events & Rides page. The Ride Reports & Photos page(s) provide a rich history of COG activities in the past. There are a number of famous roads in the SC Area - in the Arkansas Ozarks and the Texas Hill Country you'll find roads that have been made world famous by Cycle World and other publications. There are many famous destinations in the Area as well. The good news is, those of us who live and ride here know those famous roads and places are only the beginning! For every mile of acclaimed highway, we have many more that few people know about but are as good - or even better than - the well known ones! We urge you to join us for some exploration, even if only vicariously, by perusing all the SC Area pages. And if you have something to contribute, we'll be happy to work with you on that as well.
NOTE: We are still in the process of creating this new website, so you may run into the occasional empty page or even a few broken links. We apologize for that, and are working to get it all straightened out as we continue to add new content and material to the site. Please be patient with us and check back often for additions and updates.
As previously stated, the the Leadership Team page lists the names and contact information for the South Central Area Staff, including myself (scad@cog-online.org) and the Assistant Area Directors for various parts of each state in the South Central Area. Feel free to contact any of us with any questions you may have regarding COG in general and the SC Area in particular.
We encourage you to check out all our pages to become familiar with the SC Area and to get acquainted with our Members. Web links to regional pages and some of our member's personal web pages are provided at Member Pages.
Whether you live in the SC Area or elsewhere, whether you ride a C-10, a C-14, or some other type of bike, we welcome you to the South Central Area and hope you will find the time to come see us!
Bob Smith
COG South Central Area Director
