Each year the Concours Owners Group searches for the perfect location to hold the National Rally. A location that offers challenging roads, scenic surroundings, top level attractions and exceptional facilities. The 2010 National Rally location meets all of these requirements. July 12 – 16, 2010, COG will gather in Southwest Wisconsin to experience the best of everything. We hope you can join us for a week filled with excitement and adventure as we follow the Alphabet Roads.
Roads:
Southwestern Wisconsin contains some of the best motorcycle roads in the country. The State of Wisconsin has a policy of paving almost all roads, even original settlers trails. This means that even the roads with curves and elevations changes are easily enjoyed and explored. These roads have been a favorite riding playground for the COG North Central Region for many years. From scenic overlooks to challenging technical rides, these hidden gems offer it all. We have a wealth of rides and routes that are both proven and documented. The best roads are county roads designated with a letter. Locals refer to these as the Alphabet roads. What has long been a quiet secret is now open to the world of COG.
Location:
Tomah is located at the intersection of Interstate 90 & 94 allowing easy access from all parts of the COG Universe. The Great Plains change into a varied topography known as the Driftless area. This area was never touched by Glaciers, and remains a National Scenic Byway.
Nearby Attractions:
Wisconsin Dells, House on the Rock, Homes by Frank Lloyd Wright, The Great River Roads on both sides of the Mississippi River, Multiple Casinos, Micro and National Breweries, State Parks, Antique shops, Dairies and Cheese shops.
Lodging:
Rally Central will be at the Cranberry Lodge Hotel. This hotel has 200 rooms and a banquet hall that will hold 500. There is also a Comfort Inn that shares the parking lot with Cranberry Lodge.
Camping:
Camping is available nearby at the Pine View Campground at Fort McCoy. The Rally Committee has reserved a number of campsites, plus a large open camping area. Two tents are allowed per campsite. Showers, laundry, laser tag and paintball are available.
Start making your plans to attend. Rally Schedule details will be available. Check back for more details. We’ll be working hard to make this Rally one of the best ever.
