Please Join me on a ride out to the Quabbin Reservoir, with a lunch stop in Belchertown before visiting the Quabbin. The Visitor Center Museum is optional depending on what the Ride Group wants to do. For those interested, it takes about 20 minutes to walk through and review the history of how the Reservoir was made back in the early 1900’s, longer if people decide to watch the videos.
We’ll also be stopping briefly at the Enfield Overlook parking area for a view of the reservoir and hopefully a group photo.
On our way back we’ll be stopping at the Sterling Ice Cream Stand on Rt-62 for a treat. Ride ends at Dunkin’s on Rt-119 in Groton MA, but attendees can leave the group anytime during the ride.
Meeting Location: Ride starts at 8:30 am from Johnson’s Restaurant, 164 Boston Rd., (Rt-119) Groton MA. Get there early if you want breakfast, please gas up before the ride starts.
