Lunch will be provided for everyone in attendance.  If you don’t have anything to work on, please come to eat, lend a helping hand or just watch and learn how to do it yourself the next time.  This is a fantastic way to be productive and have a fun day doing it with others.  I hope you’ll seize the chance to enjoy another one of the advantages of being a COG member.

There is no charge for any of the work, but a donation for the food is appreciated.  To take advantage of this opportunity you must:
    1. Register on the COG site so I can plan for food and repair work.

    2. Email me at gmazzola@sbcglocal.net  to let me know what work you hope to accomplish.  If you have tires to mount and balance you can ship them directly to my house (let me know your intent in the message), deliver them yourself ahead of time, or bring your wheels and tires on the day of the event.  Remember to bring your own oil and filter.  I will properly dispose of the used oil for you.  To get as much done as possible please don’t plan on major repair work.  If you need specialty tools, please plan to bring your own or let me know, I may already have it.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to text/call me at 314-606-2233.

    GTA Annual Tech Day

The annual GTA Tech Day 2026 is set for Saturday, May 30th, start time 8 a.m. till around 5 p.m. at my home near Trenton. Lunch will be served, we do ask for a nominal donation ($8 is suggested) to help cover the cost of food for the lunch.

Come prep your bike for the riding season ahead, and at the same time, enjoy a great social event. This annual event has become as much of a social event as it is a technical event. Please contact me if you are able to provide technical expertise as well. Your assistance will be much appreciated by me and the riders in attendance.

Tasks we have completed in the past include C10 valve adjustments, camshaft replacements, brake jobs, fork seals, wheel bearings, final drive repairs, carb synchronizing, steering head bearings, oil/brake/clutch fluid and coolant changes/bleeding, carb cleaning, and the list goes on. Clymer and factory service manuals are available for reference also.

I would ask that people please register for the event and email me with a proposed list of tasks they would like to complete that day so that the bikes can be placed in priority order in the shop. This is important to assist in getting the work done that everyone wishes to accomplish.

Please bring whatever tools you may need to do the work on your bike. Should you not have what you require, then I have a full range of tools available to handle pretty well any task. Bringing your own tools, if possible, helps speed up the completion of tasks in that there are adequate tools to serve everyone. Also bring whatever fluids you will require that day with you. Waste oils and fluids, filters, etc. will be handled by me.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Join us in Perth, Ontario for a weekend of riding some of the best scenery and roads in Eastern Ontario. For our American friends, Perth is only a few hours from the Thousand Islands International Bridge - and your dollar goes a long way in Canada.

      About the Event

This is the second year of what we hope will become an annual COG GTA gathering. Last year's ride was a great success, and we're looking forward another enjoyable weekend or riding, food, and camaraderie. Perth also offers great eateries, microbreweries, and plenty to explore off the bike.

Watch the COG Forum and COG Facebook page for updates and additional information as plans continue to develop.

      Group Diner

We plan to return to Fiddleheads Bar and Grill (www.fiddleheadsbarandgrill.com) for the Saturday evening group dinner, followed by time to socialize back at the motel.

Come Ride the Highlands and enjoy another great COG event - Ride More!

We are working to secure rooms again at The Colonial House Motor Inn (https://www.colonialhouseperth.com), a friendly and affordable motel with clean, newly renovated rooms and a pool for relaxing after a day of riding.

      Registration

Please register online so we can plan for rider count, lodging needs, and the group diner. There is no event registration fee. Riders are responsible for their own lodging and meals.

      Green Mountain Escape '26

Join us for another long weekend in southern Vermont, riding around the Green Mountains. We’re going back to the Gray Ghost Inn again in 2026, but I've added an additional day as an option for people who would like to do an extra day of riding around Vermont.

The Rally dates for this event are: Wednesday, 8/26 to Sunday, 8/30. Our group rate group rate will be $139/night plus tax for any style room. A full breakfast is included each morning of your booked stay.

There will be no Rally fee for COG Members, (non-members will be charged $10 during registration). COG Northeast may offer a Friday night pizza party for all attendees.

The Gray Ghost has 27 rooms and will be holding (15) for us on the dates listed, but if we need more they will try to accommodate us as long as we don’t wait too long before booking. The Inn has several rooms that can accommodate 2, 3, and 4 guests, so if people want to save $$$ by sharing a room with friends, please request one of those rooms when you call. The outdoor pool will be open and ready for us again this year, and if you're not into swimming, there's always sitting around the fire pit out back or on the patio deck. Join us for the full 4-day weekend, (ride home Sunday), or if you can't make it on Wednesday, come ride Vermont on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. To book a room, call the Inn directly at the phone number provided and tell them you're from COG or the Concours Owners Group to get our group rate.

All 21 rooms at the Inn are currently being held for COG. Call them at 209-586-2900 to book your room and be sure to tell them you're with COG - quoted rates of $140. They will hold the rooms for COG until late July, then any unbooked rooms will be opened for other travelers. Dinner at El Jardin (Mexican) a short walk away. Gas is available about 5 miles either side of the Inn on Hwy 108.

      Union Vally Reservoir

      Saturday, August 29

Breakfast at Sportsman Coffee Shop adjacent to the Inn, then KSU and NE on 108 over Sonora Pass to north on 395 through Walker, west on 89 over Monitor Pass and SW on 4 over Ebbetts Pass. Turn north at Avery on Sheep Ranch Road to Railroad Flat Road to West Point on Hwy 88. Lunch will be at Gibson's Roadhouse Cafe in Pioneer. From there we're looking at some narrow-road options. We'll do some pre-ride scouting of Forest Roads, all paved but promising a bit more adventure than the major routes. Either way, there will be some tight corners and epic views before we join Hwy 50 at Pollock Pines. Overnight at Westhaven Inn in Pollock Pines. The Inn is holding all their rooms for COG, with room rates of $110. If you call to book your room at 530-644-7800, tell them you're with COG. Also, shoot Dan Breeden a note at danbreeden@icloud.com so he has a record of your room reservation. The Inn is prioritizing Dan's reservation list over calls to the Inn (Inn's preference, not ours). Dinner nearby at The Forester - German fare - which is 4 miles down the road. Several gas stations are near the Inn.

      Sunday, August 30

Breakfast at Sportsman's Hall, then more forest roads today as we head west on 50 to Riverton, then north on Forest Roads potentially past Ice House and Union Valley Reservoirs. Details will be worked out ahead of the ride, but the preliminary route will take us past Stumpy Meadows Lake to Georgetown, then south to Placerville and civilization. Lunch at Poor Red's BBQ in El Dorado. Homeward from there.

We're still confirming the details for this year's Spider Ride. Registration will open in July.

      The Spider Ride

Please mark your calendars and plan on joining us for the COG 2026 Spider Ride. Once again, ride headquarters will be at the Huzzah Valley Resort (Pavilion #2). The Huzzah Valley Resort (Map) is located approximately 8 miles east of Steelville, Missouri on MO-Route 8 at the Huzzah Creek (Big Red Barn).

Note: In past years, many rally attendees have arrived and set up camp on Thursday. While I also plan to arrive on Thursday, please note that the rally officially begins on Friday.

      Camping

For 2026 we will once again have our campground located near the grassy area around the larger Pavilion #2 (red circle on left side of the illustration below).  This will allow everyone who is camping or staying in one of the cabins to be in the same space.  This move will bring everyone easier and closer access to meals and the evening campfire.  All meals will again be served at pavilion #2.  Please pay your camping fee (~$16.50/night - still need to confirm the rate for 2026) at the OFFICE upon arrival.  New flush toilets and pay showers are available and close to this camping area.

Click on map for a larger image - Pavilion #2 is to the left of the Horse Pasture

      Lodging
Huzzah Valley has cabins for rent. Check their website (https://huzzahvalley.com) or call (1-800-367-4516) for more information and availability. There are also motels close by in Cuba and Potosi, Missouri.

      Riding

Pretty damn good! That's why we're here.  Maps and routes will be available.  See example routes below.

Food (check back this summer for final details)

For 2026, all dinners (including Saturday) will be served in Pavilion #2
Friday Evening - Burgers & Brats, baked beans and potato salad
Saturday Evening - Pork steaks, baked potato, corn on the cob, side salad, and apple cobbler

Friday, Saturday & Sunday morning - Coffee and breakfast sandwiches
All weekend - Soft drinks will be provided

      Call for Volunteers

How does the saying go... many hands make light work.  COG is a 100% volunteer run organization, and that includes the Spider Ride.  During registration you will have the opportunity to raise your hand if you're willing to help (e.g., food preparation, servers, KP duty/cleanup).  Please consider volunteering to help with some aspect of the rally.

This will be our first time at this place, but it looks very good from the reviews. It is just a little over one hour from Cincinnati, putting it close to a number of OH members.

The region has a lot of nice riding roads, so getting there should be fun as well.

Please register or let me know you will be there so I can set aside seating.
